Browder: Lack of Zerg in SC2 not on purpose

Dustin Browder, Lead Designer, confirms that they are not pulling our leg with not announcing the Zerg units.
- It's just not ready yet, he says.

STARCRAFT 2. The Protoss and the Terran have both been revealed on the official site. The only thing we've seen of the Zerg are in screenshots and in-game movies. The clock is ticking, and more and more are starting to wonder when the Zerg section will be up and running. An anxious fan at Battle.Net asked, and was answered by the Lead Designer himself.

"We aren't holding it on purpose"

- We will give you Zerg stuff just as soon as we can. We aren't holding it on purpose, it's just not ready yet. We had a lot more time to work on the Protoss and the Terrans before the announcement that you guys didn't see (because the game wasn't announced yet), says Dustin Browder.

"Doesn't have to be a giant event to show a race"

So you see, there is no leg pulling or keeping secrets. Dustin Browder further says that there is no ETA, however we won't have to be waiting for the next BlizzCon to come along.

- I don't have an ETA but we won't be waiting for the next Blizzcon. We are quite happy to put stuff out on the web for you guys to check out. It doesn't HAVE to be a giant event to show a race, though when an event happens to match up with a race announcement that is a lot of fun, he says and smiles.
