The lower bracket of Curse Invitational was played through this weekend, with some teams getting eliminated along the line. In the end, only Team Dignitas is still standing in that part of the bracket.
The Curse Invitational schedule was a bit shaky and got bumped around quite a bit this weekend due to technical issues such as DDoS and teams having obligations in other tournaments. Essentially it was Rox.Kis and Dignitas having a strong run after getting eliminated in the upper bracket, round 1 by Mousesports and Evil Geniuses. respectively.
As can be seen above, Empire was cut short by Rox.Kis. This may or may not dictate a similiar outcome tomorrow in the first group of West's Qualifier for The International if the two teams were to meet. Dignitas went through first QPANDAS and then Mousesports. Rox.Kis defeated Evil Geniuses earlier tonight in an impressive 2-1 run, utilizing heroes such as Lycan, Pudge as well as the infamous Chaos Knight + Wisp combination. In the end though, America still reigned supreme as Dignitas avenged their brethren and sending Rox.Kis out in fourth place.
The top three teams of the tournament are settled, next weekend will decide in which order the teams end up in. Still in the run for the money are Team Liquid, Natus Vincere and Team Dignitas.
