EG to challenge nth for DreamHack gold

Evil Geniuses marched on to the Dota 2 final of Vengeance Corsair DreamHack, after beating Fnatic 2:0. Awaiting them there will be the local heroes from no Tidehunter.

Game 1:

It can be argued that Fnatic miscalculated in first game, where a Faceless Void was laned solo bottom solely to leach experience. This was done to ensure safe first minutes to Trixi as well as H4nni who were guided by a support hero each. The US-boys on the other hand went with a lineup, that was comfortable for them utilizing the usual Enigma, Sven and Invoker solidly.

Even though Trixi's Clinkz guarded by a perfectly played Rubick from N0tail won top lane for Fnatic, mid and bottom lane clearly favoured the Radiant. Throughout the mid game, Fnatic's game plan barely worked out and the Europeans performed worse in fights. Even though N0tail stole spells where he could, the physical damage output was simply not enough to significantly hurt EG's heroes.

Game 2:

The second game saw EG executing the notorious "Knight Strat". However, In the first minutes, it was Fnatic responding fast and furious to the way they were treated in game one. After successfully diving towers, through the sheer power of Trixi's Night Stalker, EG managed to rehabilitate and started pushing themselves. The never-ending heals thrown out by DeMoN and Maelk allowed the Dire to stay out on the map during the entire game and eventually lead to Fnatic's defeat.

The final match of the day will therefore be EG versus nth, starting at 21:00 CET.
