First of all, let's talk about the leaders of the season - Team Empire and Moscow Five. Both teams were quite stable through the whole season thus being at the top of the table in the end. Empire who lost only 1 match versus M5.BenQ have to win a match versus FnaticRC today to secure 1st place of the regular season. Moscow5 can be reached by only MYM and mouz, but both those teams have to win all the matches now to do it.
Let's tell a few words about the defending champions of Starladder - Natus Vincere.

They were struggling to play with full roster at the start of the season, thus lost several matches. When they got all their players together online, they showed some solid plays and secured wins against some strong opponents. Now they have 3 matches to play yet (versus Fnatic, Next.kz and Team Kharkiv) and are currently placed 9th which doesn't allow them to play in the LAN Finals. So, the favorites have to do their best to win these matches and prove that they are good to go to Kiev.

While having CLG withdrawn and TR disqualified from the tournament, other teams can feel safe now. What will happen with the latter is still to be decided by Starladder admins.
All-in-all, even Next.kz still has a chance to get into top-8, though it's just in theory. So, the last 2 days of Starladder Star Series should bring us some epic battles.
