The Division 3A of GosuLeague Season 4 will play with only seven teams, as EYES has been banned from the competition.
Today is the opening day for GosuLeague Season 4. Divisions 2B and 3 (A, B, C, D) have their opening matches this Tuesday. Divisions 1 and 2A will follow on Wednesday with their first matches.
Unfortunately, the Division 3A will start with only seven teams. Team EYES, which qualified under the name team MAYM, is not allowed to play in the competition, for using the banned player crusH in their lineup.
Statement by Vladimir 'Angel' Kojadinovic, GosuLeague:
"Team EYES had been playing GosuLeague since the start in Division 1. After 2 seasons in the top division, they dropped down to Division 2. Right before the start of season, less than 24 hours, they decided to leave our league because they were not satisfied with the prize pool in that division. After their decision we just let them go without any consquences.
They tried to qualify again for GosuLeague in Season 4 but with no success, after that they asked to get their spot back for free. This was rejected, as all teams have to qualify for GosuLeague. crusH, the team-captain of EYES, has been flaming GosuLeague and specific admins in reaction to this rejection. We consequentially decided to ban crusH from GosuLeague.
Team MAYM has qualified without crusH or other EYES players for GosuLeague Division 3. The team however has recently completely changed the lineup and picked up the name EYES. We interpret this as a desperate try to gain access to GosuLeague by crusH and his team EYES. Therefore we have decided to exclude MAYM and EYES from our event. Any team with crusH in the roster will be forbidden to play until further notice. We are sorry that this situation occured this close to the season start and we are therefore forced to let Division 3A play with only seven teams."
