DreamHack Valencia with €4,000 EUR prize pool

The DreamHack stop in Valencia, Spain is set to kick off on September 22-23, but up til now the prize pool has remained undisclosed. Today, however, DreamHack.es announced the prize pool to be €4,000 EUR as well as revealing computer hardware company Corsair as partner for the event.

While only mentioned that the prize pool will include "hardware", it is likely that Corsair will provide the winners will all kinds of peripherals and other hardware gadgets.

All participating teams will receive 5 beta keys to the Dota 2 client. The tournament is open for 32 players, and aside from the €4,000 EUR prize check, the winning team will be invited to DreamHack Winter 2012.

Fnatic, who recently signed Kalle "Trixi" Saarinen, has flagged for their participation at the event.

Four teams from the on-site 32-team BYOC qualifier will go up against four pre-qualified teams at the final stage that includes a group stage and then a playoff with the top four teams.

Next to Dota 2, the Feria Valencia visitors will see official tournaments in StarCraft 2, Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Counter-Strike 1.6, League of Legends and Call of DUty: Modern Warfare 3.
