The $30,000 USD LAN tournament known as 'The Asia' will feature six great Asian teams from the online national qualifiers. The event will be held in December 8 to 9 at the Mid Valley Exhibition Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
With incitement coming in from the World Cyber Games, Malaysia has another exciting event coming up their way. Along with Rapture Gaming and Alienware, e-Club Malaysia has brought to us: 'The Asia'. 'The Asia' is a two-day LAN event featuring teams from all over Asia who will face in an online national qualifying round before coming in to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to compete against Asia's finest in this immense tournament.
The countries that are selected for the national qualifiers are really fascinating because most of the countries haven't been spotlighted in the Dota scene that much. Furthermore, representing the South East Asian countries for the national qualifiers are Singapore and Malaysia.
In addition, the winner of the Asian Cyber Games (which will be held in November) will also join the fierce and immense battle at Malaysia. The winners will claim $15,000 USD while the second and third place will get $9,000 USD and $6,000 USD respectively.
