Mouz unable to overcome mega-creeps despite Trixi's Rapier
In the first of a series of tournaments it is the Danish and American mix who emerge victorious and walk away $660 richer,overcoming NEXT.kz in the finals.
On route to the finals EG overcame both Western Wolves as well as Mousesports before emerging triumphant with a 2-0 scoreline against the Kazakhs, who were no pushovers themselves either coming out from this tournament with the scalps of CLG as well as Team Dignitas.
EG's semi-final match against Mouz was undoubtedly the highlight of the tournament, with EG only managing to secure the win after a long 86 minutes.
In a statement given to joinDOTA shortly after their win, EG's American player Jimmy 'Demon' Ho stated the team's ecstasy after emerging victorious after such an intense clash.
"It feels really great winning in such a close epic game. During the game itself felt really intense but in my mind I thought we would have to do some sort of "all out" thing. I continuously told MiSeRy to buy a Divine Rapier because I felt there was little to no chance of winning (good thing I was wrong *laughs*). Fear on the other hand, wanted to play it safe and in the end we pulled through."
The second edition of the joinDOTA masters commences this weekend on the 24th of March, with EG opening their defense of the title with a game against PR.
