Quantic ran under three different tags this tournament, in the initial Group stage 1 they were sponsored by SK-Gaming and they entered Group A2 with a score of 3-2, losing to mTw as well as GDT. In Group stage 2 however, they ran over all of their opponents and entered the playoffs with a perfect scoreline of 5 wins and 0 losses. It was also at this time when they parted ways with their SK sponsors and played under the tag DD.
Former MYM player MaNia was then added to their roster to face EG, but was powerless as EG beat them convincingly to send them into the loser's bracket, where they matched up against the Western Wolves. WW were sent packing and DD were acquired by Quantic Gaming; this match against aL would be their first official match under the new tag.
Their overall record for The Defense tournament stands at 9-3, and having already beaten their opponents in the second Group stage, they certainly know what it takes to beat aL.

Perhaps considered underdogs at the very beginning of the tournament, Until now, Australian DotA was given very little exposure and hence not much information was available. Absolute Legends would change all of that. The flawless coordination and impeccable team play that they've exhibited so far has given everyone a glimpse of what DotA has been missing. They stormed out of their blocks with a 4-1 scoreline in the first group stage only suffering a single defeat at the hands of Na`Vi.
We then saw them being put into the same group as their opponents of today, Quantic Gaming. They emerged from that group with 4 wins and a loss to Quantic. In the playoffs they were matched yet again with Na`Vi, and succumbed to the superior performance given by the Ukrainians on that day. As a consequence, they were pushed into the loser's bracket
Just yesterday they played against Team Dignitas and despite losing the first game, showed their tenacity to pull of a 2-1 win in the best of three series, eliminating the Romanians from the tournament.
Absolute Legends lie 3rd place on the Gosugamer's Rankings and certainly a lot has changed since their initial loss to Quantic in Group stage 2. A mouth-watering clash of 2 giants in the Dota 2 scene await.
