mTw reforms.

The fierce Swedish squad decided to replace two players from his line-up in an attempt to improve their results. Find out what syndereN and mTw's manager have to say about this below.

Everyone who watches the competitive scene closely knows that mTw is under-performing to say the least. They passed from a 5-0 record at the first groupstage of The Defense to a 0-5 in the second one. They were unable to play more than four games at the Infused Cup.

Their relentless gank play-style featured at DH just wasn't in the air anymore. They slowed their tempo and it didn't work. After this endless lose-streak against teams they once beat time and time again, the team decided to reform their ranks in order to perform better in the future.

The decision was to bid farewell to their two supports: Matrim and Kuronity. Their spots were taken by the former DIPS player Bentzer and the famous ex-SGC Tulex. It's worth noticing that this changes were in a mutual agreement and with the consent of the organization. syndereN, the captain of the team, made the following statement:

Denmark mTw.syndereN:

"It is with sadness that I, pepp3 and Grunt say goodbye to Matrim and kuronity as far as mTw goes. The two have played with and known pepp3 and Grunt for years, while I myself have played with them for a few months in addition to playing with kuronity for a while quite a long time ago. In the time we have been together, I feel I have become good friends with both of them, and their past with pepp3 and Grunt speaks for itself. Releasing friends from a team is never easy, and we are not doing this without resting assured that it is the decision we want to make. In other words, this is not a decision of impulse—it is not rushed. We cherish our friendship, but the objective for this team is to compete at the absolute top of the Dota 2 scene, and we are therefore adjusting to what we believe to be a stronger roster for the future.

We have come to the conclusion that we as a team cannot unlock our full potential with the current roster. We will be taking in BENTZER and Tulex from Sweden and Slovakia respectively, both of whom we have played with a lot and whom we deem to fit excellently inside the team – in terms of personality as well as performance and experience. With them on board, we will be able to maintain a higher, more dedicated training activity with more motivation, have more flexibility in drafting, and be able to perform on a higher level with more stability in our games. We wish Matrim and kuronity the best of luck for the future, and want to thank them for their efforts and some great shared memories. We welcome BENTZER and Tulex and look forward to working with them to achieve our future goals."

The team's incorporations said the following:

Sweden Bentzer:

"I very feel excited about joining mTw. I feel very confident playing with all of them because I've all been in the same team as everyone apart from Tulex earlier in esu, DTi, and DIPS (m81). We'll do our best to reach the top in the Dota 2 scene."

Slovakia Tulex

"I’m very happy to join mTw, I was playing over 4 years at the Czech/Slovakian team SGC, but after we disbanded a while ago I was kind of dreaming of joining an English-speaking international team. So not only am I joining one now, but also the sponsoring steps up a notch with mTw being one of the most famous e-sports clans around. I believe with our hard work we will battle for the top of the world of Dota 2. Besides various tournaments, I think that after the last ‘The International’ it has become a dream of everyone playing competitive Dota 2 to attend this tournament and fight for million-high prize money another time, and this is mine as well. I feel like there is a bright future ahead of us, both at LAN and online."

After this replacements, mTw's current line-up is the following:
Denmark syndereN (c)
Slovakia Tulex
Sweden Bentzer
Sweden Grunt
Sweden pepp3

This new roster was tested today in DRB's fourth and final qualifier. SyndereN and co managed to take down both Serbia FnaticRC and Denmark DeeDee but eventually fell against Sweden eXperience in the semi-finals, the team that ended up winning the qualifier.

mTw's achievements so far includes a first place at DreamHack Winter 2011 and a third place at InsideDOTA invitational. GosuGamers wishes mTw good luck in their future competitions. For more information, plase visit mymTw.com
