GoD become Lions

The level of competition in the Dota 2 scene becomes even more fierce today as yet another team find professional sponsorship. The all-Dutch collective, formerly known as GoD, are now known as LowLandLions.

LLL, as they will surely now be referred to, are just the latest team to be picked up after a spate of new sponsorships for Dota 2 teams in recent weeks, such as Wild Honey Badgers (now mTw), EZ Style (now Its Gosu) and Emocore (now Infused).

Comprised mainly of former DotACommentaries and NoFriends players, amongst others, LLL are the only current competitive Dota 2 team to emerge from the Netherlands.

Speaking to GosuGamers on his team's new sponsorship, Dutch_Freak said:

We are very happy with LowLandLions on our side. This gives us a lot of confidence and we hope to achieve great results in the near future!

With so many teams now sponsored as we move towards 2012, the stage is set for heightened competition within the Dota 2 scene. LLL will play their first official match under their new tag next week against Na'Vi in The Defense. We wish them the best of luck!
