As opposed to ESWC where Fnatic had dominated the group stage (where one loss would not have been harmful), only to lose against EHOME in the knockout phase, the Serbians this time took a beat early on, but fought through when it mattered.

After having started with a disadvantage in both games, Fnatic managed to eventually turn them around. This took longer in the first than the second game, that evolved to an enduring and exhausting fight, mixed with buybacks and farming. Over 60 minutes were neccessary to determine the eventual winner, which was found in Fnatic who fielded the strongest carry, Spectre.

A loss that did not seem to affect the Frenchmen, as TeamShakira grabbed a lot of momentum early on, trying to force, based on overly aggressive play. A style that did not always pay off, leading to back and forth battles and many evenly distributed kills. The lineup with the higher ganking potential had eventually resign against Fnatic, whose Anti-Mage turned unbeatable, as the game progressed.

We spoke with the carrier of both games Gordan 'g0g1' Prosic, to get his opinion on the games and the event overall.

FnaticMSI will now move on to face the winner of SK versus Wild Honey Badgers, currently live on the DreamHack Dota 2 stream.
