Rengar banned from Battle of Atlantic

Due to two Rengar bugs present in recent patches, the champion will not be played in the Battle of the Atlantic tournament.

Being able to active Rengar's Q ability, Savagery, three times in a row with use of ultimate ferocity stacks has been a questionable feature of the champion for a while, with YouTube guides available on how to perform this trick.  In a recent patch, however, the Rengar triple Q trick can now be activated at level two just by using a second skill after the first Savagery.  This now allows him to use Savagery four times in succession once he acquires his ultimate.

Another, older Rengar bug allows you to hit Q and auto attack at the same time when you use Rengar's passive to jump from a bush.

Upon Dyrus' announcement that Rengar would be banned from the Battle of the Atlantic tournament, Froggen confirmed these bugs were the reason why.

In response to the Reddit thread on the subject, Froggen's teammate, Wickd, took credit for pointing out the bugs to Riot.  He stated that he did not want to reveal the bugs in the thread because he considered them "game breaking," but apparently Froggen didn't get the memo.

Considering the amount of videos on YouTube that already feature the triple Savagery bug, however, Wickd is either referring to two different bugs—and is using Froggen to throw us all off the scent—or he is a tad naive when it comes to the investigate of power of the League of Legends community.  One such video is featured below.

If Rengar is banned in the Battle of the Atlantic, it is likely he is also banned in the Promotion Tournament, which is news I am sure SUPA HOT CREW XD's Mimer, who made quite a splash with his Rengar play in the Challenger Stage, is sorry to hear.  The Promotion Tournament begins today at 21:00 CET, and you can catch Froggen, Wickd, and the rest of Alliance playing in the Battle of the Atlantic tomorrow at 18:00 CET against Team Dignitas.
