The week after the Summer Global Championship has been full of roster changes with the latest being Naventic dropping McIntyre.
Naventic released a statement on Wednesday night in which they announced that they would be parting ways with one of their flex players McIntyre. Like most news of this nature, it comes right after Naventic lost to eStar Gaming in the losers bracket finale of Group A at DreamHack Summer in Sweden.
McIntyre was an original member of the crew formerly known as Bob Ross Fan Club and played with the team throughout their climb up the ranks this year. The team shook up the scene when they took down Cloud9 at Heroes Rising in January, and they've had a pretty successful season. Being the top team in North America wasn't enough for Naventic though, as this change was made in hopes that they can compete with the Chinese and Korean teams in the next major championship.
McIntyre's former teammate Kenma released a brief statement where he praises McIntyre's leadership attitude and mentions that he just didn't feel it fit well with the team.
Naventic still has not announced who their replacement player will be, nor is there any word of where McIntyre will be going next. As the numerous roster changes continue to happen it will take some time before teams settle into new players.
