Tempo Storm: "When we landed that last combo, we knew we had it.”

Tempo Storm has secured the first victory of the Americas Championship against Murloc Geniuses: 2-0.

Tempo Storm has managed to snag victory from Murloc Geniuses in a thrilling best of three. There may not have been a game three, but it was far from a stomp. Murloc Geniuses looked to be a surprising match for the NA Titan. Game one looked good for the Murlocs with their Thrall aggression, being able to stand toe to toe with the ganks and roaming from Tempo Storm. Unfortunately, the Thrall pick was not as unexpected as the Murlocs would have liked. Tempo knew they've been playing them recently saying "We expected a Thrall, we heard they were going to play it and we weren't too scared" - Arthelon

Game two again looked good for the Murlocs, but Tempo had hit their stride. "The first game is always shaky, but we won so it's a lot better now." - Zuna. With a Rexxar ban to avoid being caught off guard by the Murloc's unique strategies, Tempo was ready to go. The early game didn't go too well for them as MG managed some early momentum. "We are very confident in our late game, so since they beat us to 10 that only gave them a fighting chance. We drafted a late game comp." - So1dier. After a particularily nasty combo with Maw and Ring of Frost, the Murlocs rushed to take down the core. "A lot of teams have "Leoric" syndrome and forget he respawns quickly and it resulted in us killing them." - So1dier. Leoric syndrome turned out to be their downfall as the game quickly spiraled out of control from there.

Tempo Storm will now face Cloud9 in their next game, Cloud9 winning against Team Immunity. The winner of that match will be the Group A champion and will be guaranteed a spot in the bracket tomorrow. The whole event is of course streamed live at twitch.tv/blizzheroes.
