Earlier today Blizzard released one of the biggest patches since Closed Beta. In addition to Sylvanas and the battleground Tomb of the Spider Queen, balance changes to heroes, and a wealth of cosmetic changes were announced.
The big news was the anticipated release of both Sylvanas as a new playable assassin hero and the new Tomb of the Spider Queen battleground. Sylvannas provides a range of assualt and shadow abilities to drive tempo and push lanes. Tomb of the Spider Queen is a three lane map with a tribute theme, collecting gems summon webweavers to push enemy lanes.
Only the tip of the iceberg, Team League was implemented and cosmetic changes were made to hero animations, the user interface and Ranked play. Finally, 22 heroes had small to major changes in their abilities and talents. While most were smaller tweaks, both Uther and Tyrande had big changes to their talent and ability mix.
