Khadgar enters the tavern, "Brodan" stream announced

The Mage class gets a third hero already, while other classes get the short end of the stick .

It's been only a couple weeks since the newest Hearthstone hero, Lady Liadrin, was added to the game as the second Paladin hero. While the world has been eager to see who the alternative heroes for Druid, Rogue, Priest, Warlock and Shaman were going to be (there has already been quite some speculation), Blizzard surprised us all by adding a third Mage hero to the game, namely Khadgar, who - for the lore geeks - was the apprentice of Medivh himself, the Mage hero added to Hearthstone before him.

Khadgar is a lot cheaper than Medivh, Alleria or Magni, only costing €4,99. But, as a twist, he is only purchaseable on iOS devices as a part of Apple's "AppsforEarth" campaign. 100% of the money invested into buying him will therefore be transferred to the WWF and help a good cause. Once Khadgar is purchased via iOS he is playable on all devices, so if you don't have an Apple device ready yourself, you could maybe consider logging in via a friend's.

On another note, remember the good times when Ben Brode and Frodan streamed showmatches on Twitch to show off some of the cards from The Grand Tournament expansion? It seems they quite liked the feedback the event received, so Blizzard announced something similar: on April 21st, 19:00 CEST, Brode and Frodan will be at it again, revealing a lot of the missing Whispers of the Old Gods cards - and surely having a laugh or two along the way. It all will be streamed on the official Hearthstone Twitch channel and you can find further information about the event in this blog.
