More spiders will join the battlefield when the Whispers of the Old Gods expansion launches.
After cards such as [card]Webspinner[/card] and [card]Ram Wrangler[/card], a new "summon a random beast" card will arrive in Hearthstone. Infest combines the effect of the earlier mentioned Webspinner with [card]Soul of the Forest[/card], in a sense that all minions on your side of the board are affected. Synergies with this card are found in [card]Feign Death[/card] and [card]Baron Rivendare[/card], but both those cards are rotated out when Standard hits Hearthstone, not to mention these cards are completely absent in the current meta.
Infest might see play in some sort of Midrange Hunter, but overall adding a solid 3 cost card in your deck is better than being dependent on RNG. Sure, having some extra [card]Savannah Highmane[/card]s in your deck doesn't hurt, but unless you're playing some version of Pirate Hunter, those possible [card]Captain's Parrot[/card]s aren't going to be of much use.
