The Swede added the lion’s share of the $9,500 to his trophies from IEM Katowice and SeatStory Cup III.

Third LAN title and fourth gold overall shows the reckoning of Jon “Orange” Westberg’s achievements after last night. One of the break-out stories of 2015, Orange won upwards of $34,000 last year and signed with Team Archon to grow into one of Hearthstone’s most respectable players.

Orange came into the spotlight early in 2015, winning IEM Katowice and SeatStory III back to back. Following the Archon contract and his move to team’s house in the States, however, resulted in a dry spell for the Swede and it was not until his eventual return back to his native Sweden that he recovered form. Coming first at the Abios Grand Tournament last September was Orange’s first grand final in five months.

Westberg’s journey through DH Leipzig met him multiple household names, from Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy who he had to defeat and the group stage to playoffs opponents Sebastian “Xixo” Bentert, Tugay “MrYagut” Evsan and Jan “SuperJJ” Janssen. A  final 9-2 score in the bracket made for one very dominant performance from the Archon player.

While the lion’s share of the money and the praises went to the Swede, one cannot overlook a yet another solid performance from Complexity’s SuperJJ. The German who broke-out during SeatStory Cup IV played his third grand final in three months, adding even more cash to the $15,000 he won in the span of one month at the end of last year.
