AzureSky beats the GosuCup 2014 champion to take Cup #12 for Singapore

Lucam “AzureSky” Giam is the twelfth winner of GosuCup SEA. The Singaporean has been enjoying increasingly better performances over the past weeks and topped it all off with a championship run on Saturday.

Although a GosuCup regular, AzureSky hasn’t been coming close to a championship until this month. In the last three tournaments, the Singaporean player exploded, finishing top four in Cup #10, top 8 in Cup #11 and now at first place in Cup #12.

It wasn’t the easiest run for AzureSky either. In round 4, he had to play the reigning GosuCup champion Kambras and while the Filipino was a worthy challenge, the match against him dwarfed before the final boss, GosuCup 2014 champion Wen “AkiSera” Zi Wong. The Malaysian had just come off of a second place in the previous GosuCup and was eager to get his first championship for this season, but came short after AzureSky trampled him into a 3-1 submission.

AzureSky will thus go home $300 and 20 World Championship Points richer, taking the fourth trophy for his country.

If you want to take AzureSky’s place next week and be rewarded in cash and points for your skill in Hearthstone, simply register for the upcoming tournaments. They’re completely free and open to all SEA players.
