Blizzard teases a new Hearthstone feature

A simple social media post titled “Huh, that’s new” reveals an unseen before tab in the main menu.

We might be getting more than just alternative hero portraits in the next content patch for Hearthstone. At least that’s what company’s new teaser video hints, without giving any further indication what that could be.

The community has already taken upon themselves to start guessing, of course. It’s probably not going to just be a new solo adventure or expansion pack since those already have their place in the user interface. It’s likely not going to be the button for the new hero portraits either, because community manager Zeriyah already confirmed that these will be available from the collection manager.

Our guess lies with another play mode. Hearthstone fans have long been requesting a 2v2 format and even an in-game tournament mode. Other guesses include that this might be a place where a player can review his statistics like wins/losses with each class, for example.

This teaser also comes just a day after the Chief Marketing Director of Netease, Blizzard’s partner in China, stated on Weibo that hero portraits are not the main elements of the next patch and that Blizzard hasn’t shown the “big thing” yet.

So, what to do you think that is?
