First of all, congratulations on your GosuCup win! What do you plan to do with the $350 first place prize?
I'm not so sure, probably buying a new phone or some personal goodies.
I know you to be a veteran Hearthstone player in the SEA scene, but you've often been overshadowed by other pillars of the community and Vietnam in particular (e.g. Neilyo, zggleoz, etc). Has winning GosuCup and 3 HCT points propelled your rise in the scene?
Personally I'm not interested to have a large presence in the community of Heathstone. My goal is to achieve 15 HTC point or above and win many tournaments from now on.
Oh, why not? I know that many Vietnamese rejoiced and were proud of Neilyo qualifying for Blizzcon last year. Don't you wish to be in his place in 2016?
I do want stand on the same ground as Neilyo, it is like a dream for every player. However in general I don't like to be famous and attract attention, so having a presence in the community is not in my interest nor goals.
That's very humble of you! How do you feel the pro scene in Vietnam is developing after the last Blizzcon and especially the remodelling of HCT 2016? is there evident evolution in the amount of players and effort they put in the game?
After Neilyo's achievements, everyone are trying their best and putting more effort into the game. That makes pro scene in Vietnam to develop at a good and steady pace
Last year, Vietnam was on par with Philippines and Singapore as the strongest country in SEA. Where do you think it stands now? Higher/lower/same place?
After 2016 Winter SEA Preliminaries, all three have showed great growths and displayed excellent performance. I believe as right now, all three are equally respectful and standing on the same place.
Tell us about your run through GosuCup #5. What was the most difficult opponent you had to play, and what happened in that series?
It was definitely in the finals against Winterchill, he was a very talented player and has marvelously impressive plays. The series as a whole was slightly easier because I gained some experience during my previous tournaments
The current metagame is under attack from pros that it's become stale, boring and easy to play? Do you agree?
Current metagame should change due to warlock and druid decks, instead of being attacked from pros.
Do you think standard is the cure for all things or something more needs to be done?
I'm looking forward to standard mode but it is not a cure for all, instead blizzard should approach it with further changes in mind to achieve more balanced gameplay.
Standard will come with the Old Gods expansion and we've seen about half of the cards already. What's your general feel towards the expansion?
Generally I'm excited for the expansion and Old Gods. And I'm hoping for more legendary cards to synergize with ongoing meta.
Which Old God do you think has the potential to become a standard staple?
So far I don't think any old gods fit any strategies nor becoming standard staple.
