Roblox sees positive growth in Q3 2026 alongside a surge in AI-assisted games.
Roblox recorded positive growth in the third quarter of 2026, with significant increases in earnings, daily active users (DAU) and player engagement. Its latest report also revealed a major surge in AI adoption across the platform.
How many daily active players are on Roblox?
As of October 2026, Roblox has 138 million daily active users, an increase of 12% quarter over quarter.
The platform also reports US$1.7 billion in revenue, above industry’s estimates of the US$1.64 billion. It also found growth in engagement hours by 17%.
Do Roblox games use AI?
Roblox’s Q3 2026 report, spotted by content creator KreekCraft, revealed that more than 80% of the platform’s top 100 games, ranked by hours engaged, use AI in their development.
Popular titles such as Break and Steal an Egg (289 million visits) and Huss Valley (217 million visits) were almost entirely created using AI, yet still managed to break into the top 20 Roblox games by concurrent player count.
Roblox also revealed that more than 70,000 games have been published using its Build tool, the platform’s new prompt-to-game creation tool.
“During the last three months, we have witnessed an inflection point in AI adoption and content generation in the gaming industry overall, and on Roblox in particular,” Roblox stated.
“AI-enabled game creation, automation in code generation and AI-supported asset creation are leading to an explosion of content. The time it takes to go from an idea to a playable game is compressing dramatically, and so is the time it takes to adapt a game for new devices.”
Roblox added that it has been “embracing AI” to accelerate game development since the release of Roblox Studio Assistant in December 2023. AI adoption then saw a significant acceleration by Q2 2026. Usage among Roblox’s top creators tripled, while the number of creators using external AI tools through MCP grew nearly fivefold. Meanwhile, daily asset uploads to the Roblox cloud also tripled over consecutive months.
What Roblox games use AI?
There’s no definitive way to tell which games on Roblox use AI and which don’t. However, Roblox’s Q3 report confirmed that Break and Steal an Egg and Huss Valley are two games that were almost entirely created using AI, while more than 70,000 other games on the platform are also AI-assisted.
Games like Animal Hospital have also been embroiled in controversies over AI-generated assets. The developers themselves have admitted to using AI and claimed that they are moving away from it. Meanwhile, many games on the platform that appear to be copy-and-paste versions of viral titles have also been speculated to use AI for replication.
Recently, a wave of ported games that replicate existing titles, such as Counter-Strike, Elden Ring, Halo, and Sonic Generations, have reportedly been developed using AI tools. Some of these games have since been taken down since.
