Here's everything revealed for Neverness to Everness (NTE) Version 1.4.
Neverness to Everness has unveiled a comprehensive look into its Version 1.4 titled “For Whom the Verses Mourn”, running from 30 September to 11 November. The hour-long Special Program livestream included previews of upcoming characters Blackbird and Akane Rin, plus its highly-anticipated theme park island Pukaland, and many new additions.
Version 1.4 will bring two unique stories across both halves of the update, one following Blackbird’s quest outside her Witch House, and the other a sequel to the quest where we first met Akane Rin and formed “The Whoots!!!” band with her.

Version 1.4 new characters preview: Blackbird and Akane Rin
The upcoming Version 1.4 will introduce two characters Appraisers are already well acquainted with. Here’s everything you need to know about Blackbird and Akane Rin:
Blackbird
- Blackbird’s “Foretold Finale” banner runs from 30 September to 21 October
- Esper Ability: Psyche
- Compatible Arc: Gas
- Role: Main DPS, DMG Boost, Instant Cycle
- Skill upgrade material: Eternal Memories from the Debt Collector in the Anomaly Pilgrimage
- Level ascension material: Iridescent Ticket Stubs from the Swallowtail in Anomaly Hunt
- Open world skill: Lets Blackbird transform into a Lonesome Bird to zip around the map freely.
- Voice actress (English): Xanthe Huynh
Blackbird is a mystical and private character who resides in the Witch House, a place where Appraisers can exchange Oracle Stones for rewards, receive blessings, and more.
Players can obtain Blackbird from her limited-time Foretold Finale banner, which runs from 30 September to 21 October, alongside her designated Arc banner, “Roostfeather Special”. Meanwhile, Lacrimosa’s character and Arc banners will also receive a rerun.
In the first half of Version 1.4, Appraisers will accompany Blackbird on a quest after she receives a mysterious letter asking for her help in resolving an undisclosed issue. Rarely leaving the comfort of her Witch House, Blackbird embarks on the ominous quest without knowing the identity of the sender or any details about the problem. The quest will unlock a new location anomaly called St. Arbor.
NTE will also introduce four unique outfits for Blackbird after her banner release. In addition to the Loungewear outfit, Appraisers can obtain Wandering Stars from the Mall, Unfazed Denim by reaching Bond Level 10, and Rouge et Noir by accumulating 200 rolls in the Skin Perks event.
Akane Rin

- Skill upgrade material: Good Boy Stamps from Morphix in the Anomaly Pilgrimage

- Open world skill: She carries her guitar and can play it anywhere in the world
- Voice actress (English): Christina Vee
In the quest “A Legendary (?) Band’s First Page”, Appraisers teamed up with Haniel and Nanally to form a band called THE WHOOTS!!!, during which players first met Akane Rin. In the quest, she eventually became the band’s lead singer and guitarist.
In Version 1.4, Akane Rin will finally become playable, with players able to obtain her from the limited-time “Dazzling Star” banner, which runs from 21 October to 11 November. Her exclusive Arc banner, “Celestial Special”, will also run at the same time.
In the second half of the update, players will receive a sequel to their first encounter with Akane Rin through a new quest entitled “To Us, Back Then”. The band will return to the stage for Clement Academy’s Centennial celebration, while the quest will also offer a deeper look into Akane’s past and her former band.
Her release will also come with four unique outfits. Appraisers can obtain the Cozy Velvet and Full Metal Rock outfits from the Mall, Off the Clock by reaching Bond Level 10, and Shining Idol by accumulating 200 rolls in the Skin Perks event.
Pukaland opens up in NTE Version 1.4, alongside more new content
Appraisers who have spent enough time exploring the open world may have already stumbled upon the restricted entrance to Pukaland. Well, with Version 1.4, the highly anticipated ginormous theme park is finally set to open.
Pukaland is a theme park spanning an entire island, where Appraisers can take part in various activities and earn Puka Stars, which can be exchanged for rewards. The more activities you complete, the more Puka Stars you can earn.
The theme park is divided into four zones, each featuring its own attractions and activities. The first and main zone is Puka Avenue, the entrance to Pukaland, which features rides such as the Pendulum, Drop Tower, and Spinning Octopus. This zone also houses reward exchange spots, including souvenir shops and point shops.
The zone on the left is Cakehill, which houses a hedge maze called Flora Maze at the foot of the hill. It also features a haunted house, where you can explore an abandoned manor and search for items needed to unlock the exit.
Meanwhile, the zone on the right is Lavaton, featuring a volcano bursting with piping-hot chocolate. Players can hop into a mine cart and manoeuvre through the erupting volcano.
Finally, the last zone is Pukatopia Castle, where players can gather to witness a nightly fireworks show above the castle.
Beyond Pukaland, Version 1.4 will also introduce new Anomaly Commissions, game modes, and various rewards. The Fashion Shop is also opening a new Accessories category, with items such as sunglasses and eye masks available for purchase or as rewards.
More Porsches are set to arrive in NTE Version 1.4
Vehicle collectors can also look forward to two new Porsches joining the game. The second part of the Porsche collaboration will introduce the Porsche 911 Turbo (930) and the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package, both of which can be obtained from Mystery Boxes. The Porsche 918 Spyder Mystery Box will also make a return.
A Porsche Club will also be introduced. Players who have three Porsches in their collection can join the club and unlock exclusive customisation options for their Porsche vehicles for free. Additional rewards, including furniture, tiles, namecards, and more, will also be available.
