What is Maneater 2 about?
The popular shark-RPG Maneater is officially getting a sequel. This time around, players will eat, explore, and evolve as a killer shark in Neptune’s Kingdom, an ultra-luxury seaside theme park. Think of it as Jurassic Park with just one dinosaur. You’re that dinosaur, of course.
The sequel doesn’t sound all too dissimilar from its predecessor, but it does come with a change of scenery and a pretty new coat of paint. The gameplay loop will remain the same: players will eat their way through the marine ecosystem in Neptune’s Kingdom and slowly become stronger, up to the point where they’ll be able to feast on the humans.
The underwater areas of Neptune’s Kingdom will be an open world, allowing players to explore and look for snacks or secrets as they please. As they munch on some unfortunate humans, they’ll also be able employ genetic modifications to become stronger and evolve. Ultimately, they’ll aim to escape Neptune’s Kingdom.
Chris Parnell (Rick & Morty) also stars in the game as TV host and narrator Trip Westhaven.
