A select group of content creators will be able to test and stream the official GTA RP server next week.
While Rockstar Games has continued to build anticipation for the highly awaited GTA VI ahead of its 19 November release, it has now also given the game's long-standing roleplaying community renewed support with the introduction of nopixel V–its new official GTA RP server.
In 2025, Rockstar partnered with nopixel, a mod server and community that had cemented itself as a mainstay of the game's ecosystem. Its roleplaying servers have helped keep GTA V alive and thriving more than a decade after the game's release.
Now, the GTA creator is officially integrating a next-generation nopixel into GTA Online, called nopixel V, just over two months before the release of GTA VI. Fans will get their first look at the closed beta of the official GTA Online roleplay server through select content creators from 8 September.
The fifth edition of the popular GTA RP community and server will feature a reworked character customisation system, refreshed visuals, new ways to make a living on either side of the law, and smarter, more reactive pedestrians.
“New corners of the city–from the brand-new Pixel Hotel & Casino to a six-block revamp of Cypress Flats–set the stage for new stories,” Rockstar also said in the announcement blog post.

How to access the GTA Online RP server nopixel V
The official roleplay server for GTA Online will enter closed beta on 8 September. However, only a select group of invited content creators–a total of 448 players–will have access to this early version of the nopixel V server, allowing them to test and livestream the experience across various platforms.
Invited players can access the closed beta of the official GTA RP server through the Rockstar Games Launcher. Others curious about the revamped GTA Online RP experience can tune in to participating creators' livestreams to watch the closed beta in action.
GTA Online's official RP server will come with rewards
Rockstar is also celebrating the arrival of its official GTA Online RP server with Twitch Drops. Viewers tuning in to nopixel V closed beta streams on Twitch can earn up to GTA$1,500,000, and claim a Burger Shot Tracksuit between 8 and 30 September.
Rockstar has also promised further updates, including a new PC in-game overlay, upcoming events, and expanded access to the nopixel V server.
