Gamble With Your Friends sells one million copies in a week

A chaotic casino co-op game is blowing up on Steam as players share one bank account, and blame each other for every bad bet.

Sometimes you and your mates want to save the world. Other times, you just want to scream at each other over a shared bank account after someone hits on a hard 17 and wipes the squad’s cash. That second option is currently winning big on Steam, as Gamble With Your Friends has now sold one million copies in just one week.

The co-op party game, developed by SkyBrave, has quickly become the latest breakout hit in the growing wave of chaotic multiplayer games players have lovingly started calling “friendslop.”

The announcement came through a developer blog post roughly a week after launch, with the team thanking players for the overwhelming response, while also acknowledging the bugs players have spotted so far.

“We're soooo happy and speechless by the positive reception our game has gotten so far,” the studio wrote. “We're aware of the bugs you've been reporting, and the team is hard at work addressing them as soon as possible!”

What is Gamble With Your Friends?

Gamble With Your Friends describes itself as a “casino crawler,” throwing players into a bizarre gambling establishment where escaping debt is the main objective. Fail to claw your way out, and the game warns players they will “face the consequences,” giving the whole thing a slightly cursed game-show energy that feels ripped straight out of a late-night horror meme.

The hook, however, is not really the slot machines or card tables. It is the co-op chaos. Every player shares the same bank account, meaning one reckless friend can instantly ruin the run for everybody else. One teammate chasing a miracle blackjack play can turn the entire lobby against them in seconds, which is exactly the sort of nonsense that fuels modern co-op hits.

The game also leans hard into proximity voice chat, frantic teamwork, and intentionally goofy character models, turning every match into a disaster waiting to happen. Naturally, players cannot get enough of it.

How is Gamble With Your Friends doing after launch?

However, while sales are high, The game’s early numbers doesn't seem as impressive as the sales numbers at first glance. According to SteamDB, Gamble With Your Friends is sitting at 9,289 concurrent players on Steam, with a 24-hour peak of 32,227 players.

Its all-time peak climbed even higher to 42,848 players just two days ago, while the game currently holds an 88% Positive rating on Steam, landing it firmly in the “Very Positive” category.

That momentum also fits neatly into the wider “friendslop” craze currently dominating Steam and Twitch. Over the past year, games like Lethal Company, REPO, and PEAK have exploded thanks to their mix of cheap prices, proximity chat chaos, and endlessly clip-worthy disasters.
