Avatar Legends The Fighting Game gets July release date, 12 playable fighters at launch

Aang and friends are about to duke it out.

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game has officially locked in a release date: 2 July, 2026. The fighting game is developed by Gameplay Group and published by PM Studios, and serves as an adaptation of both Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, featuring characters from both TV series duking it out.

When is Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game coming out?

PM Studios has officially revealed a release date for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, a game adaptation that brings together characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra in violent fashion. The game will feature 12 playable characters:

  • Aang
  • Korra
  • Zuko
  • Katara 
  • Toph
  • Sokka
  • Azula
  • Ozai
  • Zaheer
  • Kyoshi
  • Avatar State Aang
  • Avatar State Korra

That’s right–Aang and Korra’s Avatar State forms are considered separate characters for this launch roster. The game will launch on 2 July, 2026 for US$29.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game also will support cross-play at launch. 

What is Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game?

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is a fighting game developed using hand-drawn 2D animation, featuring an original canonical story featuring the universe’s colourful cast of characters. The game also has an arcade mode, offline and online play, and a spectator mode. Multiplayer matches will include rollback netcode and crossplay across all platforms.
