Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 makes its debut this week, with the introduction of Elsa Bloodstone.
NetEase Games has officially unveiled Marvel Rivals Season 6.5, a meaty content update that comes with a swathe of hero balance changes and an all-new addition to the playable roster: Elsa Bloodstone, a Duelist monster hunter who uses her elephant gun to apply pressure on the frontline.
Here’s the Dev Vision video for Marvel Rivals Season 6.5:
Elsa Bloodstone is a Duelist in Marvel Rivals Season 6.5
Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 is officially introducing a brand-new member of the Duelist role: Elsa Bloodstone, an elephant gun-toting monster hunter who sports an aggressive playstyle with flashy ability combos. Her elephant gun serves as her primary fire, building up an Instinct meter as she damages enemies.
As her Instinct rises, her ability cooldowns become shorter, allowing her to make use of her traps, dodges, and additional weapons more often in the battlefield. She can deploy traps to keep enemies immobilised before dishing out damage through her abilities, or bring her ultimate ability out instead.
Her ultimate ability summons a massive monster named Glartox, who represents a rather obscure pull from the Marvel comicbook universe; Glartox historically became soul-bonded with Elsa’s brother, Cullen Bloodstone, in the comics. It’s unclear why Elsa has come into possession of the creature herself, but it’s a useful ally nonetheless, dishing out knockback damage against crowds of enemies before bringing them back to Elsa for the final blow.
Special events coming in Marvel Rivals Season 6.5
After Rogue and Gambit’s wedding finally went through in Krakoa, the mutant couple will bring the afterparty to the Times Square social hub with a wedding car parade on Valentine’s Day. Players joining the festivities will earn Units.
Lin Lie, AKA Iron Fist, will also show up in Times Square for Chinese New Year to perform a lion dance. Players who watch the show will be able to claim red envelopes packed with more Units.
The Citizenship of Monster Kingdom mini-event pass is also arriving in Season 6.5, bringing new skins like Rocket Raccoon's Giant Panda, Squirrel Girl's Red Panda, and Jeff the Land Shark's Duck Defender. Squirrel Girl's Red Panda outfit will be free-to-earn, while Jeff and Rocket Raccoon's skins will be paywalled behind the premium pass.
Hero balance changes coming in Marvel Rivals Season 6.5
A few Vanguard characters are getting minor buffs in Season 6.5, namely Doctor Strange, Rogue, Thor, and Venom. Notably, Thor’s Hammer Throw now grants 50 Bonus Health, while Venom’s base health has received a small boost from 650 to 675.
As for the Duelist role, a few heroes are getting nerfed while Deadpool gets buffed, with his Pop Quiz! ult now granting more Healing Amount. Moon Knight’s Bonus Max Health provided by Moon Blade is going from 100 to 75, and Phoenix’s base health is getting reduced from 275 to 250. Psylocke ult now deals 160 single-hit damage, down from 170.
Squirrel Girl’s Squirrel Blockade now has increased projectile speed when launched without charge, while Star-Lord, the Punisher, and Wolverine’s ults now have a lower energy cost. Storm is getting a bigger change overall, with new Tornado and Thunder effects while using Weather Control. These changes allow her to deal a bit more damage, a bit faster than before.
Finally, we have the Strategists. The biggest and most notable change of this patch sees Adam Warlock finally gain the power of flight with a new ability, allowing him to fly at 10m/s for up to four seconds at full energy. Energy will recharge from zero to max in 15 seconds. He can also hover and attack during Soul Bond’s duration.
Other Strategist changes are less notable, with Invisible Woman’s Force Physics ability getting a higher cooldown, Loki getting less Mystical Missile charges, and Ultron getting an increased detach range for his drones.
Team-ups coming in Marvel Rivals Season 6.5
A few Team-Up abilities are getting changed or removed entirely in Season 6.5. First up is the unfortunate decoupling of the Fantastic Four, with the removal of the Fantastic Four Team-Up ability.
A few more existing Team-Up abilities are adding new heroes to the mix:
- Mr. Pool's Interdimensional Toy Box (Deadpool–Jeff the Land Shark/Elsa Bloodstone [new!])
- Elsa gains the Bloodstone's Boombox Bullets ability through her Team-Up with Deadpool.
- Gamma Charge (Hulk–Black Panther/The Thing [new!])
- The Thing joins the gamma chaos and gains the Gamma Gauntlets ability through his team-up with Hulk.
- Rocket Network (Rocket Raccoon–Star-Lord/Mister Fantastic [new!])
- Mister Fantastic connects to the network and unlocks the Fantastic Amplifier ability through his Team-Up with Rocket Raccoon.
- All-new Team-Up ability: Psionic Mayhem (Invisible Woman–Doctor Strange)
- Doctor Strange joins forces with Invisible Woman and unlocks the new Psionic Vortex ability.
Marvel Rivals Season 6.5 launches on 13 February, 2026.
