Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s developer is putting together a rather meaty thank you for players.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developer Sandfall Interactive released a statement this week to reveal all-new content coming to the game, as a hefty thank you for the game’s dedicated players and fans. The turn-based RPG is adding a new playable environment, new late-game boss battles, and all-new cosmetics for the Expedition’s members.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developer confirms new content is coming
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developer Sandfall Interactive is officially back to work making new content for its turn-based RPG, including a whole new environment for players to explore. In the upcoming update, players can travel to “a brand-new location with new enemy encounters and surprises to discover,” likely taking the form of a new zone in the overworld.
Additionally, all-new boss battles are coming for late-game players to take on, as well as new costumes for each one of the Expedition’s party members. It’s unclear if these new bosses and cosmetic items can only be found in the game’s upcoming new location, but it seems likely.
Sandfall Interactive is also bumping up the game’s total number of supported languages to 19, with text and UI game localisations for Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian. The developer also teases “more to come,” suggesting that even more content is also in the works for this update.
Why is Sandfall Interactive dropping a big new update now?
In a post on its website, Sandfall stated that it had been “blown away” by the support shown by players of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 since launch. The game’s original soundtrack had recently surpassed over 333 million track streams, thus pushing the developer to work on a big new game update for, as it puts it, a “THANK YOU!!” to players.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s next update does not have a release date yet.
