Hades II is finally breaking out of early access this month.
Supergiant Games has officially announced a release date for Hades II Version 1.0, and it might be a lot sooner than players were prepared for. The highly-anticipated dungeon-crawling sequel will officially launch on consoles on 25 September, 2025, including the Nintendo Switch 2.

Hades II sets Version 1.0 release date at long last
Game developer Supergiant Games has officially set a release date for Hades 2. Taking Hollow Knight: Silksong’s lead, the sequel is launching with very short notice, on 25 September, 2025. That gives players just under two weeks to finish Silksong before hopping over. Easy peasy, right?
Hades 2 Version 1.0 will launch as a free update for anyone who already owns Hades II, but console players will have to first purchase the game on their respective platforms. The game is already available for pre-orders on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
Supergiant has confirmed that Hades II can be played at up to 120fps at 1080p resolution in TV mode. In handheld mode, the game will run at 60fps at 1080p resolution. Nintendo Switch 2 owners will also be able to download a free upgrade if they own the game on the original Nintendo Switch.
Hades II will have cross-save support between Nintendo Switch and PC versions of the game. That means early access players can simply pick up from where they left off on Nintendo Switch consoles by transferring their save data over.
Hades II will also launch on Nintendo Switch II with a retail version that contains the physical game card, a Character Compendium booklet, a download code for the game’s soundtrack, and a reversible cover. The physical version will cost US$39.99.
Hades II Version 1.0 launches on 25 September, 2025.
