August is stacked for PlayStation Plus subscribers, with some heavy-hitters joining the catalogue this month.
It's a big month for PlayStation Plus, with Helldivers 2 and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II leading an August lineup that also includes Vampire Survivors, Umamusume Pretty Derby–Party Dash and plenty more.
PlayStation announced its latest Game Catalog lineup on 12 August, adding eight games for PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers, along with two classics for Premium. Helldivers 2 gets a head start and is available worldwide from 12 August, while most of the lineup arrives from 18 August.
PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers already got their August monthly games earlier this month, with Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and SIGNALIS available to claim. There's also a MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls PlayStation Plus Pack available to all members.
With the Essential games already out, PlayStation has now revealed what's coming to Extra and Premium later this month.
What games are coming to PlayStation Plus Extra in August 2026?
There are eight games joining the PlayStation Plus Extra Game Catalog in August:

Release dates differ by region this month. Helldivers 2 is available worldwide from 12 August, while the full lineup arrives on 18 August in most regions. In the US, UK and Japan, Hell is Us, Umamusume Pretty Derby–Party Dash, Two Point Museum, Metro Exodus, and Dying Light 2 will instead arrive on 25 August.
Helldivers 2
Anyone jumping into Helldivers 2 through PlayStation Plus is arriving at a particularly busy time for the Galactic War. Its 12 August debut coincides with the massive Devoid of Liberty update, which pushes Super Earth closer to the Void with mutated Illuminate enemies already emerging and SEAF troops now able to fight alongside Helldivers on the battlefield.
Unlike the rest of the August lineup, Helldivers 2 is already available worldwide.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II was one of 2025's biggest RPGs, earning a Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards 2025. Henry of Skalitz returns for another open-world adventure through 15th-century Bohemia, where his journey takes him from a blacksmith's forge into revenge, betrayal, and the middle of a civil war.
Vampire Survivors
If you've somehow managed to avoid losing several hours to Vampire Survivors, PlayStation Plus is about to make that a little harder. The roguelite starts with a character, a weapon, and a lot of monsters, but doesn't stay that simple for long. Weapons and upgrades pile up as hundreds of enemies fill the screen, eventually turning the player into the source of the bullet hell rather than the one trying to avoid it.
Hell is Us
Hell is Us takes a more hands-off approach to exploration, dropping many of the usual quest markers and navigational aids as players work out where to go and what happened for themselves. The 2025 action-adventure follows United Nations peacekeeper Rémi, who goes AWOL in search of his missing parents in a country torn apart by infighting. Unfortunately, war isn't the only problem waiting for him, with mysterious creatures appearing in the wake of a strange calamity.
Umamusume Pretty Derby–Party Dash
Umamusume Pretty Derby swaps horse racing for a school sports festival in Party Dash, a pixel-art multiplayer spin-off featuring familiar Umamusume characters. Players form teams and compete across four minigames, ranging from hurdles and basketball to dodgeball and an eating competition.
Two Point Museum
Running a museum apparently involves a lot more than deciding where to put the dinosaur skeleton. Two Point Museum hands players control of their own growing attraction, from designing exhibits to keeping visitors happy, while teams of only partially trained Experts are sent out on expeditions in search of rare artefacts. Assuming they make it back, their finds can then become new exhibits in the museum.
Metro Exodus
Metro Exodus takes the series out of Moscow's underground tunnels and onto a much larger journey across post-apocalyptic Russia. 4A Games' first-person shooter still mixes deadly combat, stealth and survival horror, but opens things up with large, non-linear environments as Artyom and the Aurora's crew travel across the continent. The journey spans an entire year, taking the story from spring through to the depths of nuclear winter.
Dying Light 2
Dying Light 2 is technically appearing twice on PlayStation Plus this August. The Reloaded Edition is already available as one of August's Essential monthly games, while the base game is now being added separately to the Extra catalogue. The open-world action game follows Aiden Caldwell through a city overrun by the infected, with parkour and melee combat at the heart of surviving its streets.

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers get access to the Extra catalogue, along with two older PlayStation games joining the highest membership tier this month:

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams
Players can dig back into the PS2 era with Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams, just weeks before the series makes its long-awaited return with Onimusha: Way of the Sword on 4 September.
Dawn of Dreams originally released in 2006 and follows Soki, a young warrior with dark powers who takes up arms against the Genma after Toyotomi Hideyoshi takes control of Japan. Way of the Sword will then pick up the series more than 20 years after its last new entry, this time with Miyamoto Musashi fighting the Genma in Edo-era Kyoto.
Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire
The second classic goes back even further, with Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire originally released for the first PlayStation. Milo Thatch and his expedition head deep beneath the surface in search of the lost city, with the PS5 and PS4 version adding up-rendering, rewind, quick save and custom video filters to the original game.
PlayStation notes that its Premium and Deluxe lineups can differ by region, so subscribers should check their local PlayStation Store when the games become available.
