Helldivers 2 x Halo ODST crossover Warbond launches next week, includes iconic Halo gear

Halo: ODST items are coming to Helldivers 2 next week.

Arrowhead Game Studios has officially unveiled Helldivers 2’s upcoming crossover with Halo 3: ODST. The third-person multiplayer shooter is launching on Xbox Series X|S on 26 August, and it’s bringing along a Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond consisting of familiar equipment.

Helldivers 2 is dropping onto Xbox consoles next week with a Legendary Warbond themed after Halo 3: ODST. The latter game is getting slightly refurbished to fit into Helldivers 2 lore, with ODST now standing for “Obedient Democracy Support Troopers.” In the Halo universe, ODST in fact stands for “Orbital Drop Shock Troopers.”

Despite these changes, the spirit of Halo remains strong in the Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond, which comprises a set of gear inspired by the iconic Bungie-made shooter. The Legendary Warbond includes four weapons, two armour sets, capes, and more cosmetics.

The four weapons are:

  • MA5C Assault Rifle
  • M7S SMG
  • M90A Shotgun
  • M6C/SOCOM Pistol

The new armour includes:

  • A-9 Helljumper
  • A-35 Recon
  • Feet First Armor Passive

The rest of the Warbond includes the following capes:

  • Honored Heirloom Cape
  • Eye of the Clandestine Cape

Plus, players can also pick up ODST-themed player cards, a new player title, and a new vehicle pattern. It’s worth noting, however, that the Halo: ODST-themed Legendary Warbond is not your typical Warbond. This is a more expensive version of the Warbond, costing players 1,500 Super Credits to purchase.

The Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond launches on 26 August, the same day that Helldivers 2 launches on Xbox Series X|S.
