Thunderpick Bitcoin Series begins for NA and SA

A new event begins in NA and SA -- Thunderpick Bitcoin Series will feature 16 teams fighting for the lion's share of $52,000.

With the last week of the DPC 2021-22 Season Summer Tour happening this week, NA and SA fans can look for more action to come. 

Over the next few weeks, 16 teams from the two regions will be competing in an online event 

The main event starts today so get ready. 

Thunderpick Main stage

The main stage will take place between July 11th - 31st. 

• Swiss system
• 16 teams
  • 14 invited teams + 2 teams from open qualifiers
• All matches bo3
• Top 8 teams receive $1,000 and advance to the playoffs

Thunderpick Final Stage

The playoffs will take place between August 1st - 19th.

• Top 8 teams from the Main Stage
• Single-elimination bracket
• Top 2 best teams will join 2 invited teams in the Playoffs
• Playoffs are double-elimination bracket
• All matches are bo3
• Grand finals are bo5
• 1 map advantage for the upper bracket team in the Grand Final

Thunderpick broadcasting

English broadcast will be provided by Beyond The Summit and can be found here (for the first week while DPC is still ongoing) and then here for the remainder of the event. 

Thunderpick Prize pool

The prize pool will be 2 Bitcoin with a minimum of $52,000 guaranteed.

The prize pool distribution is as follows:

• $8,000 -1,000 for each team that will reach to the final stage from the swiss stage (8 teams)
• 1st place - $25,000  
• 2nd place - $10,000  
• 3rd place - $5,000  |
• 4th place - $2,000
