Southeast Asia regional league has three tickets to offer to the upcoming Stockholm Major and at the halfway point of the season, three teams have already taken a small lead.
SEA Division 1
Fnatic are the only ones to stay undefeated after three weeks of league play. They secured victories against Neon Esports, Execration and Nigma Galaxy SEA, the latter being the only team unable to take a single game from them, despite bringing Techies into the second game of the series. Fnatic’s performance versus Nigma Galaxy SEA was their cleanest series so far in the league, but the big battles are just around the corner for them.
They are yet to meet T1 and Boom Esports, the other two SEA favorites for a spot at the Major. Unfortunately for BOOM, the half point of the league play is not painting an accurate image of their form. They started the season with a default loss due to an electricity outage in their area, thus they sit in fourth place with a 2-1 series score.
In the meantime, Team SMG, who entered the Spring Tour with Michael "ninjaboogie" Ross Jr stepping in and taking the leadership, are in third place in the league with three victories and one loss. Their only defeat came at the hands of T1 during the second week of matches.
SMG are in fact tied with T1 in series score, the latter having also played four series already. T1’s only loss was registered at the very beginning of the Spring Tour when Polaris Esports delivered quite the upset taking them down 2-0.
SEA Division 2
While Division 1 teams fight for a ticket to the Stockholm Major, in Division 2, the competitors are playing for promotion. Only the top two teams will make it to the Summer Tour upper division and unfortunately for the TNC Predator fans, the hopes are very slim right now to see their favorite team promoted back to Division1.
TNC have already played four series, but won just one of them and sit in the bottom half of the standings. The top two teams in Division 2 are RSG and Talon Esports, both with perfect 4-0 series scores, 8-0 game records.
