The ONE Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational kicks off tomorrow in Singapore with twelve choice teams competing for the biggest cut of the $500,000 prize.
At the start of the new season, it was reported that PGL partnered up with ONE Esports to create the first ONE Dota 2 Singapore World Pro Invitational to take place in December 2019, followed by their second event to take place in Jakarta in April.
Twelve teams were directly invited to compete for the largest slice of the $500,000 prize pool, with the main event taking place in Singapore at the Singapore Indoor Stadium December 20-22.
The event isn't part of the DPC but was still able to attract some of the biggest names and most anticipated rosters of the new Dota 2 year. For the event, Team Secret will be bringing back Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng as a stand-in for Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat.
All of the teams except two —J.Storm and PSG.LGD have earned a spot in either the second Major or Minor next month, so this is guaranteed to be Dota 2 of the highest caliber and some high-quality practice. Perhaps fans will even get a glimpse of the new heroes, some new metas, new logos and a few new tricks.
