As the open qualifiers start to wrap up, the closed qualifier invites for ESL One Hamburg 2018 have been released one day prior to the regional kick offs.
Only two teams per four regions were given the honor of being invited to participate in the closed qualifiers for ESL One Hamburg 2018. All other teams were forced to go through a brutal battle in the open qualifiers, with only two teams per designated region making into the regional battle.
Only one team per region will be granted an entry ticket to the premier LAN event in Germany next month. The stakes are high and the competition is fierce even though ESL One Hamburg 2018 is not a DPC event this time around.

ESL One Hamburg 2018 will have an expanded format featuring round robin groups and double elimination playoff brackets.
- Date: Oct 23th - Oct 28th
- Participating teams: 12 teams
- 8 invited (Virtus.pro, Evil Geniuses, Team Secret, Mineski, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Forward Gaming, paiN Gaming and Vici Gaming)
- 4 qualified
Group-stage Format:
- Teams will be divided into two groups
- Round robin two-game series
- Top two teams each group will advance to playoffs Upper-Bracket
- Bottom two teams each group will advance to playoffs Lower-Bracket
Main event format:
- Double elimination bracket
- All matches are 'Bo3'
- Grand-final match will be 'Bo5'
