OG bring ana back for TI8 qualifiers
OG have finalized their roster for the TI8 qualifiers in ten days, bringing Anathan 'ana' Pham back to the carry position and recruiting Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen for the midlane .
After the shocking departure of co-founder and captain, Tal "Fly" Aizik, along with Gustav "s4" Magnusson, the Dream Green team was put in the precarious position of needing to make some hard decisions and quick solutions.
The team was already trying to reignite some former glory and find their niche since kicking Roman "Resolut1on" Fominok in March and coach Sébastien "7ckingMad" Debs stepping into the core role left vacant. Unfortunately, things weren't panning out as hoped for and the results were still out of reach. Dropping down two more members only last week, many fans were concerned it was the end of the road for one Europe's most successful teams of the 2016-2017 season.
The organization tried to reassure everyone that they would continue, but with the TI8 open qualifiers lurking around the corner, it was going to be a tight schedule. Enter Anathan "ana" Pham.
Brought to OG in the post TI6 shuffle, ana at only 17 years old seized two Major titles with the team, (Boston and Kiev), and a top eight finish at The International 2017. He left the team during the TI7 post shuffle to take a break from serious competitive gaming.
Ana will assume the carry position while Finish player Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen will take his place in the midlane. Topson most recently played for 5 anchors no captain and SFT-esports last season.
