LFY visa woes put to rest; Monet and Inflame approved!

LFY's visa issues have been laid to rest as Du "Monet" Peng and He "Inflame" Yongzheng will be in attendance at The International 7 to compete with their team.

A visit to the US embassy last week turned worrisome after the two young players were denied entrance into the United States despite being accompanied by through and extensive documenation. This signaled the first official news of visa troubles for foreign teams looking to compete at TI7 and sent a wave of panic through the community.

Fortunately for LFY, the story had a happy ending with a prompt resolution and much hoped for approval after success in their second interview that was scheduled for this week. With still almost two weeks left before the group stage of the event, the team will be able to finalize their travel plans and focus on training.  LFY let out a big sigh of relief no doubt especially since for the Boston Major the team was forced to play with two substitutes when Monet and Luo "Lpc" Puchao missed out due to visa issues.

25 players are expected to fly from China to compete among the best in the world at The International 2017 for the staggering prize pool of over $21 million. Currently, 24 of those players now have secured visas for the trip.

Invictus Gaming's support player Ye "BoBoKa" Zhibiao had also been rejected at his first interview that took place two days ago. The other four players on the team and the complete roster for sister team iG.Vitality are already in possession of their visas.

The International 2017 will take place at KeyArena, Seattle Washington. Eighteen teams from around the world will compete starting in less than two weeks on August 2nd for the group stage phase. Sixteen teams will advance to the main event playoffs phase spanning from August 7-12th.
