DreamLeague Season 7 open and closed qualifiers details revelead

This weekend will see teams from both EU and NA battle it out as they attempt to claim the spots available for each region at DreamLeague Season 7.

Sign-ups for both the EU and NA open qualifiers for DreamLeague Season 7 opened a few days ago and teams that sign-up will have a chance to compete for the available slots in each regions closed qualifiers. Both NA and EU regions open qualifiers begin this coming Saturday, April 1st, which will see a mass of best-of-one matches. Sunday will see the games switch to a best-of-three format as the pool from each region will be down to eight teams.

Sunday’s games will give us two winners from the EU regional open qualifiers who will join the six invited teams in the closed qualifiers. The invited teams feature the likes of Team Spirit, Vega Squadron and Ninjas in Pyjamas amongst others. The NA regional open qualifier will also feature two teams claiming a spot in the closed qualifier, joining the invited ones.

Team Onyx and Fire are the two invited teams in the NA closed qualifier. Originally Team Freedom were invited too but have recently announced an indefinite period of inactivity, opening the door for a second team to move into the closed qualifiers from the open qualifiers. The teams in the closed qualifiers for both regions will then compete for the final spot in the DreamLeague Season 7 EU and NA divisions.

Some of the teams signing up so far for the open qualifiers are PENTA, who are the Ad Finem organization’s new collaboration with PENTA eSports and No Logic Gaming which boasts the talents Milan "MILAN" Kozomara. The NA region open qualifiers seems to have less interested teams as only seven have signed up but with a few days to go, a full list of all signed up teams should be revealed by Friday March 31st.
