MarsTV Dota 2 League LAN a glance through the group A

With only two days remaining until the start of MarsTV Autumn LAN, we will take a glance through the participating teams from group A.

Starting on 28th of September in Xiamen, China, MarsTV has a $250,000 prize pool for which four Chinese and four International teams will battle during a five-day LAN event. This is the first LAN after the Fall Reshuffle so everyone will pay attention to the new strong teams what will face each other for supremacy.

The eight participating teams were placed in two groups where they will battle for the upper and lower bracket seeds of the double elimination playoffs bracket. Today we will take a look at who are the four teams placed in Group A

Group A : MVP Pheonix, Team Secret, Newbee and LGD Forever Young

Korea Kim 'QO ' Seon-yeob
Korea Kim 'Febby'  Yong-min
Korea Kim 'Dubu' Doo-young
Australia Kim 'Velo' Tae-sung
Korea Lee 'Reisen' Jun-yeong

After long negotiations with the organization, Sun 'QO' Kim, Dooyoung 'DuBu' Kim and Yongmin 'febby' Kim decided to return where they belong, in the heart of MVP.P with whom they were directly invited to The International 6, achieving a top six place. The former MVP.hot6ix player Jun-Young 'Reisen' Lee, and the Aussie from Spac Creators Taesung 'Velo' Kim joined the three core members and with this new lineup MVP.P decided to compete in this new season. Even though Velo has little to no LAN experience, Reisen will have his back on the support role.

From all the participants at MDL Autumn, MVP.P is the only team that already tested their new line-up in a LAN setup, competing at the beginning of this month at Mineski Pro Gaming League where they managed to secure a second place finish. Switching roles between Reisen who played in a core position, to febby who was supporting the team, this roster looks pretty strong and they will definitely make a nice play during this tournament.

Newbee

China Xu 'uuu9' Han
China Song 'Sccc' Chun
Australia Damien 'kpii' Chok
China Zeng 'Faith' Hongda
China Hu 'Kaka' Liangzhi

Remain without three of their TI6 players, where they hardly managed to get a 9-12 place, Newbee decided to bring in two Chinese youngsters and the much more experienced Faith to complete the Fall line-up. Even though they had a good run in the first half of 2016, placing on the second spot at Epicenter and on the third at Manila Major, Zhang 'Mu' Pan , Wong 'ChuaN' Hock Chuan and Chen 'Hao' Zhi Hao decided to take a break from competitive scene for a while.

Despite the three big losses, the new Newbee team doesn`t look bad at all. With Faith and uuu9 coming from Tong Fu and with sccc promotion from Newbee.Young, this roster will certainly stand out by their unique gameplay.

Team Secret

United States Zheng 'MidOne' Yeik Nai
Korea Noah 'MP' Pyo
Korea Sang-Don 'Forev' Lee
Estonia Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov
Sweden Johan 'pieliedie' Åström

After the departure of Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev, Jacky 'EternalEnvy' Mao, and Sam 'Bulba' Sosale, Clement 'Puppey' Ivanov decides to take everyone by surprise, bringing to Team Secret three SEA players. Total different as play style and mentality, the new five players will try to get along with each other in order to achieve the performance that their captain is waiting for so long. Despite that TS were always placed in top 3 at every LAN, they somehow managed to fail miserably under the pressure of a big tournament. We only wish that the „secret curse” to be broken so we can see them shining again.

All eyes will be on Noah 'MP' Pyo and Sang-Don 'Forev' Lee,who will fight now for the first time against their former team, MVP.P, who distinguished during TI6 by sending home the TI6 favorites, OG.

LGD Forever Young

China Du 'Monet' Peng
China Xie 'Super' Junhao
China Yao 'Yao' Zhengzheng
China Zhang 'xiao8' Ning
China Luo 'Lpc' Puchao

Qualified after a long and hard battle through the lower bracket, LGD.FY claimed one of the two spots available in the MDL Autumn 2016 main event via Chinese qualifiers

The TI4 Champion, Zhang 'xiao8' Ning is joined by Xie 'Super' Junhao and Yao 'Yao' Zhengzheng at LGD Forever Young, both players with big achievements so far. Super was the runner up at the same TI4 where xiao8 won the first place, while Yao finished in  top three with LGD at TI2 and TI5. The three veterans will kick start the new LGD squad along with two lesser known players,Luo 'Lpc' Puchao who has been the captain of TongFu for the past two years, and Monet who played last year at FTD Club C and moved after the Shanghai Major shuffle to CDEC Avenger.
