In the second day of the Summit 5, European and Chinese Dota had shown its strength. Three series were played, all of them offering spectacular, breath-taking matches.
The first series between Team Liquid and Ad Finem proved to be a challenge for both teams, emphasizing that all players needed to give their best effort. The second series displayed a huge amount of team play and coordination from both Na`Vi and Wings Gaming. The day closed with a showdown between Liquid and Wings where the Chinese youngsters knocked Liquid down to the lower bracket.
The first match went Ad Finem's way. Omar 'Madara' Dabasas's Anti Mage managed to finish the game without a single death. In the second game, Liquid approached the Greeks with a scary combo: Huskar and Oracle. This time around, Lasse 'Matumbaman' Urpalainen's Huskar seemed unstoppable, shutting down Timbersaw in the mid lane. Liquid proved to be too strong, ending the game by the 20 minute mark. In the third game, Liquid decided upon a Shadow Demon - Morphling combo, while Ad Finem got their hands on Io and Slark. Although the Greeks were controlling the early-mid game, a huge team fight at the 33 minute mark turned the tides and Liquid made their way back into the game. Shortly after that, Ad Finem lost two lanes of barracks and admitted their defeat around the 41 minute mark. Liquid took the series 2-1.
Second series of the day kicked off in a spectacular fashion. In the first match, Na`Vi had a rough start. Li 'iceice' Peng's Earth Shaker was a real problem for the Ukrainian squad. Na`Vi's luck changed around the 40 minute mark when they managed to win a huge team fight and took Roshan from the Chinese team. From there on, Na`Vi was one step away from victory and pushed Wings' base, forcing out the GG. In the second match, both teams played aggressive but Wings were the ones to come out on top. Although Na`Vi were behind by 30K gold, they managed to hold the base with the help of Danil 'Dendi' Ishutin's Tinker and Ivan 'Artstyle' Antonov's Enchantress. However, their efforts were in vain, as Wings crushed the Ukrainian base and balanced the score 1-1. In the third game of the series, Na`Vi were off to a bad start and found themselves stuck in base around the 18 minute mark as the Chinese team was already forcing tier three towers and took the victory over the CIS kings.

The final series of the day ended in style with Liquid facing Wings Gaming. In the first game, Wings played their typical aggressive style and got off to a hot start. However, Ivan 'MinD_ContRoL' Borislavov's Chronospheres were the decisive factor in team fights and gave Liquid the chance to come back into the game and took the game one victory. In the second match, Wings' Beastmaster had a fantastic start, claiming a couple of kills early game, but Liquid fought back and started to play very successful objective based Dota. However, everything fell apart for the Europeans once Keeper of the Light finished his Aghanim’s Scepter that suppressed the pushing attempts of Liquid. Wings regained the map control and forced Liquid into a decisive game three. The last matchup of day two went to Wings Gaming, entailing the Chinese squad dominating the game with Morphling.
