OG goes to the Grand Finals of DreamLeague #5

After a hotly-contested series against Natus Vincere, OG proceeds to the Grand Finals of DreamLeague Season 5.

Game 1:

The game started well for Na’Vi, who managed to avoid the mid ganks and get First Blood on the Beastmaster. The early game was theirs with Victor 'GeneraL' Nigrini doing most of the heavy lifting in the first two nights with successful ganks on Spectre and rotations all over the map, but he slipped up and dived tier two tower mid to lead his team into a death trap. Na’Vi lost four and that was the beginning of their downfall, as OG recovered a lot of gold and regained map control, with Spectre constantly getting more and more dangerous.

Things continued going their way with Roshan and trades marking a complete reversal of momentum, and OG used their midgame dominance to try and finish the game. With a few pickoffs and a final Rosh, they went for a high ground push bottom lane. Na’Vi lost Dmitrii 'DityaRa' Minenkov to a Roar, but managed to get Miracle’s first life for it. The buyback on Medusa wasn’t enough to stop OG and soon after she died for a second time the GG was called and OG took game one.

Game Two:

Game two started out a bloody affair with Na’Vi taking the first blood and a double kill for Ivan 'Artstyle' Antonov that saw Lion, Darkseer and Doom go down. It didn’t stop there with kill after kill and barely any trades as Na’Vi dominated the early game, including taking a seven minute Roshan.  After clearing the entire map, a second Roshan and with only three of their own towers down, Na’Vi made their first major mistake by going too deep on a tier three tower dive for Miracle. It forced a buyback and with a Haunt in, OG got some much needed gold. This slowed the game down until next Roshan.

With the third Roshan and all the items secured, Na’Vi went for OG's base, this time focusing on the objectives. After a brief fight and trading two for two, they backed off and waited for the fourth and final Roshan. With double Cheese and an Aegis OG didn’t stand a chance and with their entire team down they call the GG on game two.

Game Three:

Game three started with an early courier snipe by Akbar 'SoNNeikO' Butaev, but he then fed first blood by rotating bot to help Nature’s Prophet, who was solo against an aggressive tri-lane. T1 tower followed shortly and OG pressed on with aggression. That barely got punished with a few pickoffs from Na’Vi, who managed to slow down the game a bit and get back on their feet with Gondar getting his level six. OG used this stance to take some more farm and a Roshan, which lead to a very bad fight for Na’Vi. From then on it was OG all the way. The only things that slowed them down were a few more courier pickoffs and some split pushing from Tinker and Nature’s Prophet.

With the next Roshan OG pushed for T3 bottom lane, got a pickoff on the Faceless Void and proceeded to wipe Na’Vi, and took two sets of barracks. They were finally pushed out when Tinker respawned, but with only a few casualties. After a quick regroup OG went for the final push top. They wiped Na’Vi and the GG was called ending the series 2-1 for OG.

Na'Vi will face the winner of No Diggity vs Virtus.Pro tommorow, May 22nd at 12:00 CEST. The winner will go on to face OG in the Grand Finals for a best-of-five series.
