Monkey Business and CIS Rejects denied both Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team Empire their chance to reclaim the MLG title.

None of the previous seasons winners have managed to reach the grand finals of EU qualifiers at MLG World Finals despite the fact they both have been seeded directly in the semifinals.
From a round two dominated by the CIS presence, the only European team that made it to the best-of-five grand finals is BigDaddy-N0tail’s squad, Monkey Business. After they defeated the ESL One NY European qualifier winners, Vega Squadron with a clear 2-0 score, the reunited duo N0tail and Fly dismantled Ninjas in Pyjamas.
On the other side of the bracket, CIS Rejects have managed to eliminate what once were the European uncontested forces, Alliance and Natus Vincere. In the semifinals they had to face MLG Pro League season one winners Team Empire. This was the first time when ALWAYSWANNAFLY had to fight versus his ex-team mates in an official competition and it is also the first tournament main qualifiers that his new team got invited to participate in.
At the of today we will have the name of the first qualified team for Major League Gaming’s 100th live event that will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans starting from October 16th to 18th.
