CDEC Gaming took everyone by surprise with their spectacular performance in Seattle where they became the first team to reach the grand finals of an International coming from the Wild Card Competition.
The intense shuffle period didn’t affect them at all which makes ESL’s decision to invite them over LGD Gaming or the defending Champions Vici Gaming even more justified. Their appearance on the big stage of Madison Square Garden next month will be CDEC’s only second time to play in a major LAN event and will determine if they are capable to repeat their incredible TI performance.
ESL One New York 2015 is set to take place next month on the 3rd-4th October at Madison Square Garden. It will feature a total of eight teams; four direct invited and four qualified ones.
Invited Teams:
Team Secret
Virtus.Pro
CDEC Gaming
TBA
Qualified Teams:
North America qualifier winner
China qualifier winner
South East Asia qualifier winner
Europe Qualifier winner

Only one team remains to get an invite and there are at least three candidates for it. Even though the logic says Evil Geniuses should receive the last invite, LGD is still a contender while Vici Gaming are the ESL One NY 2014 champions. The question that remains until the last team will be unvield is: will ESL break the “tradition” of inviting the previous edition’s winners?
