The recently crowned Dota Asia Champions were able to replicate their success back home, securing their spot at the championships with a 2-0 victory over a Summoner's Rift squad that fittingly featured Team Secret's Artour 'Arteezy' Babaev, Kuro 'Kuroky' Salehi Takhasomi, and Theeban '1437' Siva. EG dropped only two of their qualifier games, competing on a different level than most of the other teams in the league, adding some weight behind Captain Peter 'ppd' Dager's earlier comments that EG's involvement in qualifiers has a stifling effect on the growth of the NA scene.
The battle for the Americas' second seat at MLG Arena hinges on how Not Today fares against Complexity Gaming. If Freddy 'Smash' Sina and his team can take both matches, they will have secured their place at the finals. A crucial loss, however, could pave the way for either PaiN Gaming or Wheel Whreck While Whistling to win out and snatch that second spot from under the Peruvians.
