SNA/FIRE dominate ROOT to earn ticket to StarLadder XI finals

With a rather convincing 3-0 performance against ROOT Gaming, Fire (Sneaky Nyx Assassins) secured a spot in the upcoming LAN finals of StarLadder Season 11. This marks the conclusion of the American division of the tournament, and only the European representatives have yet to be determined.

Yet another regional division of StarLadder XI has come to an end, with Team Fire (previously called Sneaky Nyx Assassins) earning the right to represent America in Kiev this January. FLUFF and his boys had a very satisfying run through the American groupstage, finishing second with a 6-1 score. Their performance in the playoffs was beyond expectations though, as they dominated every opponent without dropping a single game. The show concluded with a 3-0 victory against ROOT Gaming, making good use of their Upper Bracket game advantage.

The runner-up squad ROOT Gaming had to play with unofficial stand-in players yet again, as they have been unable to deploy their full roster for several days. Despite dropping to the Lower Bracket after their Round One defeat against eHug, the five players managed to survive and win four consecutive games, securing a spot in the best-of-five Grand Final. As for the undefeated eHug, the squad showed a sloppy but adequate performance in their opening match, but they quickly fell apart. The pleasant surprise of the American division, Leviathan, finished the playoffs with no victory.

With the conclusion of the Chinese, SEA and American qualifiers, we now wait for the conclusion of the European groupstage to have the complete roster of the tournament's LAN finals. The matches continue tomorrow, with Alliance and mYinsanity playing the opening best-of-one match of the day. For the full schedule of StarLadder XI, check out our coverage hub here.
