With their stand-in midlaner Chessie still recuperating from back problems, the Alliance has reached out to Team Coast's Joel 'Apemother' Larsson to play for them at the Starladder X's LAN Finals.

With the Starladder Season X's LAN Finals less than a week away, Alliance's Manager, Kelly 'KellyMilkies' Ong announced on her Twitter that Joel 'Apemother' Larsson would be temporarily replacing their stand-in midlaner Rasmus 'Chessie' Blomdin at the aforementioned LAN Finals.

This news comes just a week after the Alliance's defeat at the ESL One New York's LAN Finals, where Fnatic's Kai 'H4nn1' Hanbückers took over Chessie's reins in the mid lane. There, they went toe-to-toe against team Evil Geniuses, where they put up a great fight before bowing down 2-1.

Apemother is known as Team Coast's carry, although he has stated in a previous interview that he'd enjoy playing heroes such as Invoker, Mirana, or even Pudge, due to their "high-risk, high-reward" playstyle. He already played for the Alliance yesterday in an official match in which he played Zeus and Death Prophet, where they scored a 2-1 victory against Team Empire.

Stay tuned as the Alliance faces off against teams such as Team Secret, Na'Vi, and EG for the $266,000+ prize pool on October 23-26 at the Cyberarena in Kiev, Ukraine.
