SNA and Team Empire qualify for DreamHack Masters Bucharest

The winning streak for the Sneaky Nyx Assassins continues as they manage to take down Na'Vi.US once more in a deciding match. A 3-0 sweep guarantees the North-American squad a ticket to DreamHack Masters Bucharest. In the European division, Empire have secured themselves the #1 seed and a trip to Bucharest.

Following Sunday's Canada Cup Season 3 victory, Sneaky Nyx Assassin continued their run and took down Na'Vi.US 3-0 in the North-American playoffs of the Dota 2 Champions League. The North-Americans had no problems beating their adversaries and gained a lot of momentum going into the upcoming ESL One tournament.

SNA is, however, not the first team to qualify for Bucharest. Since Fnatic was unable to gather more points in their last three matches, Team Empire have secured themselves the first place of the European divison. They will be ensured a trip to Bucharest, whereas Fnatic, Virtus.pro and Na'Vi are still fighting to get, or stay, in the top five.

It is however a hot mess in the D2CL, as all of Alliance's matches have been nullified, and Team Tinker and Power Rangers will have two points deducted from their current standings, as both of them won 2-0 over the Swedes. While Team Tinker drops to a 6-6 score, Power Rangers drops down to 5-7, leaving them exposed to a possible elimination.

If Fnatic and VP were both to win their upcoming matches 2-0, a tiebreaker between Na'Vi, Fnatic, Virtus.pro, Team Tinker and Cloud 9 would ensue, all of them sitting at a 6-6 score.

The tournament won't end there though, as the teams from 2nd - 5th place would still have to play the regional playoffs to determine the two other teams who will travel to DreamHack Masters Bucharest.
