Race Core Dota 2 League A kicks off tonight

Starting tonight at 13:30 CEST and every Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday for the next four weeks, DotaTalkTV2 will be bringing you English language coverage of the Race Core DLA League, a league for up and coming teams from China and South East Asia where they will compete for the first place prize of RMB 10,000.

Representing South East Asia will be Mineski as well as Impervious, two of the most promising teams in the region right now, producing consistent strong showings in recent SEA tournaments. There is an interesting dynamic in the two teams while Mineski has been able to consistently post good results against other teams in the region, arguably looking stronger as a whole than Impervious, their recent track record against Impervious is not as rosy, as in the last two bouts between the two teams - it was the team of Michael 'Ninjaboogie' Ross who came out victorious.

From the Chinese scene we've got a number of familiar faces popping up, both in terms of the team names and the players represented in them. The most familiar team is naturally TongFu.WanZhou a.k.a. Team Adidas, one of the WPC-ACE teams brought in to match up against the pro's in WPC ACE League. They will match up against teams such as Dream Time. The new team of Yin 'Air' Yuxiao, Su 'Super' Peng and Yang 'Injuly' Xiaodong, harkening back to the original RisingStars and before that - DT^Club.

Another interesting name from China is the new team Subvert, which includes former For.Love players Hao Hao '8gk' Zhang, as well as Zhi Xi 'Yaobai' Chan, who was ousted from TongFu in order to make room for Yang 'KingJ' Zhou back in April, and hasn't made much of an appearance since then. For.Love also has a new squad together, still including Han Ci 'Hanci' Huang from the old roster and adding on a former RisingStars player Zhao 'prettyhaw' Jiabin.

Format

The eight teams taking part in the league will play a four week best-of-two round-robin style groupstage which will lead into a "Bubble Race" style playoffs, similar to what the last season of G-1 Champions League had. The playoffs will start on December 16th and last until December 22nd. All games will be casted by DotaTalkTV2 in English and will be available inside DotaTV through the tournament ticket for 2,89€ ($3,99).
